This week, a few of us swaggered along to see It Might Get Loud at the GFT in Glasgow.

As a drummer, I wasn’t sure what to expect of this film about guitarists talking about guitars but it was indeed mighty fine. Jack White came across as a man intensely dedicated to music, whether that be singing, guitar or piano. The Edge surprised me, not being a massive fan of his style or U2 I found that I warmed to him after watching it. But the real star of the show was the legendery Mr Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin fame. When he cranked his amp up and fired in to a rendition of Whole Lotta Love the other two guitarists just looked on with awe – the looks on their faces was priceless.
