We’re delighted to be working with an exciting new client – Vintage and Reclaimed furniture in Edinburgh.

A great independent furniture retailer with a quirky store in Edinburgh, they sell furniture made to order from reclaimed wood alongside some great vintage pieces.
We’ll be working with them to develop a new brand and carry the look and feel on to all communications including advertising and in-store. We’ll also be working with them to develop a new website and digital strategy as they look to take their message to the world.
We’ve just launched a new campaign for Ocean Terminal shopping centre in Edinburgh.

To coincide with the launch of Sex and the City at the venue’s 12 screen VUE cinema we devised the Style in the City brand campaign to promote the summer fashion offerings within the centre.
The campaign is currently running through press and outdoor within Edinburgh. After all the hard work we’re away to kick back with a Cosmopolitan! Tasty stuff.
The Tron Theatre in Glasgow were looking to add some punch to their corporate program – where companies can become friends of the Tron and use the venue for corporate and staff entertainment.
We devised a secret society creative concept, encouraging people to join up and receive their own key to the theatre.
We produced a secret society brochure with some nice silver foil blocking on the cover and finished the job off with a tasty wax seal with the Tron’s own bespoke Join Us seal.

The brochures were presented to business leaders within a specially staged presentation at the Tron where we devised a nice secret society style presentation delivered by one of the Tron’s associated actors.
Summer’s nearly here, so what better time to get up and get active. We’ve been working with Edinburgh leisure’s Health & Fitness team to create and implement a campaign to promote their great summer fitness membership offer – with no joining fee throughout the month of May, giving you plenty of time go get in shape for summer.

Our 80’s inspired campaign hits the streets of Edinburgh today running across promotions in all Edinburgh Leisure venues, over the radio on Forth One and with a variety of printed items and also some promotional events and 80s disco style fitness classes.
Some of the JamHot crew decided to get active, and took part in the Great Edinburgh Run on Sunday.
Running 10k through the streets of Edinburgh sounded like a good idea so we set about doing some training for the event, which went OK but not always as planned – one particular training session resulting in me picking up the wrong keys, getting locked out of my flat and being stuck with no money and no keys! However on the day things went really well and we all managed a pretty respectable (we think) time of one hour and one minute. There were some accusations of the time suffering from for an unplanned lace tying incident… but that was after a few beers had been consumed in the post race analysis. The final 500m saw some healthy competition (and illegal barging of people out the way!!) heading towards the finish line. Some poor warm-down skills have resulted in me being of limited mobility today.
The day was a great success, and everyone seemed to have a good time – especially the guys running near us dressed as cricketers – who looked to be struggling with their bats and helmets towards the end of the race.

Thanks to everyone who kindly supported us in raising money for the Yorkhill Children’s Foundation – it’s very much appreciated by us and also all the hard working people at the charity. A very worthwhile cause.
So, the question now is will we push ahead and try the 1/2 marathon in Glasgow next…. time will tell.
We’ve recently been involved in an exciting branding project for the VisitScotland Expo Gala 2010.

With the main event being held at the SECC we developed the branding and literature for the grand evening gala event, which this year was held at Xscape Braehead. With over 900 delegates in attendance from around the world we were charged with bringing the venue alive with elements from animations on large screens to brochures, floor graphics and venue menus.
Held last night, the event was a massive success, and we’re very proud to have been an integral part in the project.
We’ve recently completed a design project for a new Glasgow Arts Festival at the Tron Theatre in Glasgow.

Mayfesto heralds a short but intensive celebration of new plays and unseen other works which focus on human stories –stories which, more often than not, have resulted from conflict or political upheaval. Featuring stirring writing and performances that are new or which reflect upon the present day, these are riveting stories about people caught up in situations beyond their control.
We have completed the festival brochure, press and outdoor advertising, and a series of posters for each of the individual festival shows. Illustrations for the project were completed by Michael Collin.
I’ve just returned from depositing some cheques in the bank. The walk along the road was great, everyone seems so much happier when the sun is out. That is until you step in to business banking that is.

Greeting the teller with a cheery hello I got a less than enthusiastic reply back. Presenting her with the simplest of requests I handed across my bank details and some cheques and asked to deposit them.
“How much is it?” came the reply.
“Eh… I’m not really sure” I retorted before she uttered the class reply. Turning shaking her weary head at the wee work experience boy perched next to her she said
“Guess that means I need to add them up then”
The young chap was not phased. He handed her a calculator and said “Its ok, you don’t need to add them up. You can use this.”
She shook her head, took the calculator and the proceeded to add up.
I’m telling you, if the bank had promoted these business brains sooner then I’m thinking that the whole banking crisis could have been averted.
